DualPhase™ Programmable Antennas


KMW Communications, Fullerton CA, is exhibiting trademarked and patented DUALPHASE® PRORAMMABLE ANTENNAS Combining remote independent adjustable vertical downtilt and remote horizontal (azimuth) beam steering capability.

Over 30,000 DUALPHASE® Programmable Antennas have been delivered through 2007 to USA wireless carriers in the AWS (1710-2170MHz) and WiMAX (2.5 -2.7GHz) bands. International wireless carriers are also using DUALPHASE® Programmable Antennas.

The DUALPHASE® PRORAMMABLE ANTENNAS line has been extend to the 700 MHz band, Dual Band, 3.5GHz, 2.4 Wi-Fi and other USA and international frequencies. A wide selection of beam widths, dBis, Dual Bands, 3-Sector, Flagpole, in-building and other models are available. These antennas are designed to accommodate today’s WiMAX, Wi-Fi, GSM, UMTS, CDMA and EVDO networks as well as tomorrow’s WCDMA and LTE networks.

Integrated TMAs and TTLNASs are also available.

A Web Based Centralized Management Systems (CAMS) is available for easy change, monitor and data base management of antenna configuration to optimize the networks.

Two methods of control are available:


  • A Web Based Wireless Antenna Interface Control Module (AICM) installed at .each cell site. Antenna adjustment control is available through the Worldwide Web or private wireless or wireline network. Authorization, pass codes, levels of change authority and security are part of the AICM control system.
  • A Portable Antenna Controller (PAC) may be used either at cell site or off cell for configurations prior to cell sites for testing and adjustments.



No separate control cable or actuators are needed for control signals. At the bottom of either the receive or transmit feeder cable there is a Smart Bias-T with 20K lighting protection. This smart Bias-T can directly connect to the BTS or to a jumper cable. A SMA port on the Smart Bias-T connects to either the PAC or AICM.

The DualPhase™ antenna’s sharply defined pattern, exceptional Passive Intermodulation and outstanding VSWR are consistent through all vertical downtilt & azimuth ranges.
